Total Chaos, the ruthless survival horror shooter from publisher Apogee Entertainment and developers Trigger Happy Interactive (Turbo Overkill), a New Zealand studio, is getting even more challenging and terrifying.
Apogee Entertainment and Trigger Happy Interactive announced that the promised New Game+ mode for Total Chaos will launch on March 2nd across all target platforms. The announcement was accompanied by a creepy nine-second teaser.
The upcoming patch will add a “New Game+” mode to the game, unlocked after completing the game. It will reimagine the first seven chapters, transforming familiar locations into dangerous testing zones, and culminates in a completely new final chapter, titled “Payback.” In “New Game+,” the protagonist will be pursued by a Hunter. Once they spot their target, they will be unstoppable. The update will also introduce an alternate ending and new locations, shedding light on the reasons for the protagonist’s descent into madness.
Total Chaos is a dark, psychological first-person shooter set on the abandoned mining island of Fort Oasis. The protagonist, a coast guard officer, finds himself shipwrecked there, drawn by a mysterious radio signal. He must explore crumbling industrial complexes, underground tunnels, and forests, trying to discover what happened to the missing inhabitants without going crazy.
Total Chaos was released on November 20th on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass (Ultimate). The game was born from the cult Doom 2: Hell on Earth mod created by Trigger Happy founder Sam Prebble.
