Sony recently unveiled a new gaming accessory at its PlayStation State of Play event: the Pulse Elevate desktop speaker. This is an unusual addition to the Pulse line, which previously consisted primarily of headphones and headsets, but now includes a full-fledged speaker system. So far, the company has only revealed the device’s basic specifications and hasn’t disclosed the price.
Pulse Elevate is the first wireless speaker developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. According to the manufacturer, it integrates perfectly with the PS5 gaming system, PC, or Mac, boasting realistic sound, ultra-low latency, and lossless PlayStation Link wireless connectivity.

Each of the two speakers features planar magnetic drivers designed to deliver realistic sound across the entire audio spectrum. This allows gameplay audio to be reproduced exactly as the developers intended, whether gamers are playing on PS5, PC, Mac, or PlayStation Portal.
When used with the PS5 console, the speakers further enhance the immersive experience of games that support Tempest 3D AudioTech with precise positioning of audio signals.
The new product is expected to be released next year. The official price will also be announced at that time, but it’s likely the speaker will occupy a place in the premium segment of the line.
