Xiaomi announced the Gaming Mouse 2, which features the flagship PixArt PAW3955XM sensor. It promises precision in cyber battles, but the Chinese manufacturer did not specify the device’s polling rate.

Along with the announcement, the manufacturer revealed the key technical specifications of the new sensor. The sensor offers maximum sensitivity of 40,000 dots per inch (DPI) and can track movements at maximum speeds of up to 750 inches per second (IPS). The sensor’s maximum acceleration reaches 60G. Its static surface scanning rate exceeds 20,000 frames per second (FPS). Resolution accuracy is also claimed to be within 1% of deviation, achieved through individual factory calibration of each sensor.

The published accompanying materials show the manipulator’s appearance. The mouse’s body is symmetrical, allowing it to be used by either the right or left hand. Two additional programmable buttons are located on the left side of the device.

The Xiaomi Gaming Mouse 2’s appearance in the teaser image doesn’t differ significantly from competing devices, including those from Logitech. A release date for the new wireless gaming mouse hasn’t been specified, but it’s unlikely to be long after the images are published.
