The developers of The Blood of Dawnwalker have revealed details about the game’s first major update. According to Rebel Wolves, Update 1.1 is scheduled to arrive next week, bringing numerous improvements to combat, accessibility, and character progression.
One of the most notable additions is a new Story difficulty mode, designed for players who want to focus on the narrative rather than challenging combat. The existing Story difficulty will be renamed Forgiving to accommodate the new option.
Skill Resets and Combat Improvements
Update 1.1 will introduce the Draught of Mind Rebirth, an item that allows players to reset abilities across the Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism skill trees. This will give players greater freedom to experiment with different builds.
The patch will also improve enemy targeting, camera movement, combat controls, and traversal mechanics involving Shadowstep and Planeshift. PC players can expect additional frame-generation settings, while larger dialogue text and subtitles will improve readability.
Another small but welcome addition will allow players to pet dogs and cats throughout the game world.
When Is the Update Coming?
Rebel Wolves has confirmed that Update 1.1 will include more than 1,100 improvements and fixes. However, an exact release date and the complete patch notes have not yet been announced.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is a dark fantasy action RPG developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game follows Coen, a young man who becomes a Dawnwalker, living between humanity and vampirism.
With its upcoming update, the studio aims to refine the experience through improved gameplay systems, expanded accessibility options, and greater character customization.
