Italian studio Digital Lighthouse Games has announced Encryption, a cinematic first-person psychological horror adventure coming to PC in 2027. The game takes players to southern Italy, where devastating wildfires have transformed the historic city of Matera into a haunting landscape.

Players take on the role of Leonardo, a father desperately searching for his missing daughter, Arianna. As he explores deserted streets and underground passages, he must solve puzzles, avoid mysterious threats, and uncover a disturbing truth.

The game combines exploration, stealth, and psychological horror, with fully voiced dialogue and environments recreated using 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry.

Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Encryption draws inspiration from real locations in Matera and the surrounding region, blending historical architecture with a dark, post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

Encryption is scheduled to launch on PC in 2027, with further details expected as development continues.
