Timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the post-apocalyptic role-playing shooter Fallout 4, the Anniversary Edition was supposed to be a gift to fans for the anniversary of their beloved game, but in reality it turned out to be a major disappointment.

As a reminder, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition includes all expansions released for the game (Automaton, Far Harbor, Nuka-World; Contraptions, Wasteland, and Vault-Tec Workshop) and the Creations Bundle with 150 community creations (paid mods).

Early players were extremely dissatisfied with Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. Gamers report that the re-release broke mods and blocked achievements. Some users also claim they can’t access some of the Anniversary Edition’s content. Because of this, the re-release only has a 30% positive review score on Steam.

Fallout 4 debuted on November 10, 2015, on PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One, and has since been released on GOG and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S. An anniversary edition was released on the same platforms, and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
