‘Gears of War: E-Day’s’ Story Campaign To Last Over 14 Hours

Lead developers of Gears of War: E-Day from the Canadian studio The Coalition (owned by Microsoft) shared new details about the hotly anticipated third-person adventure shooter in an interview with IGN.

Gears of War: E-Day is set to release this fall. For this reason, The Coalition studio is increasingly sharing details about the project, revealing entirely new information. For example, it has been revealed that the story campaign will take players over 14 hours to complete, making the new project the longest in the franchise’s history.

Matt Searcy, the studio’s creative director, announced this. The developer spoke with IGN.

It’s noted that the developers have scattered a large number of collectibles across the map for players to find. This will also impact the length of the story campaign.

While the story will be linear, as is typical for the series, the developers have prepared extensive locations for gamers to explore as they progress.

Gears of War: E-Day is expected to release on October 6th on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. It promises unprecedented detail and graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5.
