Publisher THQ Nordic and developer SparklingBit have released Sacred 2 Remaster, a remaster of the fantasy action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. The updated version features refined controls, a modern interface, and other important technical improvements.
The launch wasn’t without criticism. As is often the case, early reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, as it’s difficult to provide meaningful feedback without significant playtime. Technical issues appear to be playing a role. One user even noted menu errors. Furthermore, WASD no longer works as it did in Sacred 2 Gold. In the original game, you could open multiple menus or inventory items simultaneously while moving your character, but this is no longer possible.
The current approval rating is only 31% based on 127 reviews. Reactions range from nostalgic praise to disapproval due to technical issues and the new user interface.
Sacred 2 Remaster is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S.
