A trailer was released to mark the announcement. The developers describe the project as a blend of classic fantasy, turn-based combat, and dark humor. The studio raised funds for its creation through crowdfunding on Patreon. As it turns out, Paralives' total worldwide sales exceeded 250,000 copies in less than 24 hours after its debut.
