Titan Quest 2 is getting its first major update in Early Access. THQ Nordic and Grimlore Games showed seven minutes of gameplay featuring the new content and announced a patch release for September 30th on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

It was previously reported that the update would introduce a second chapter of the story, in which players will travel to the mythical Northern Beaches to uncover the plans of the mad goddess of vengeance, Nemesis, and put an end to the threat of the Ichthyans (fish people) once and for all.

The video showcased new skills (active and passive) across various Mastery types, the landscapes of the Northern Beaches, and battles with Ichthians (including new types) and their leader, the King of Tides.

The King of Tides appears on the battlefield after the hero defeats a squad of his minions. The boss is huge, powerful, and armed with a magical trident that fires devastating frost projectiles.

Titan Quest 2 launched into Early Access on August 1st and has already received over 11,000 positive reviews on Steam, with an 85% rating. Over 300,000 copies of the game were sold in the first three days of release.
