The Sims Mobile has had a long and eventful life, but now its story is coming to an end. Electronic Arts has confirmed that the October 20th update is the project’s final one. The game will be permanently shut down on January 20, 2026.
Starting January 6, 2026, the developers will unlock all home customization items (Build Mode) and character customization items (Create A Sim), and on January 20 the servers will be shut down, making the game unavailable to everyone.
All remaining SimCoins, Simoleons, and tickets are recommended to be spent by January 20, otherwise they will be lost forever. Player progress information is stored on EA’s servers, so it will also disappear after the shutdown.
“On behalf of everyone on the Sims Mobile team, thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us. We hope this final update brings you joy and allows you to finish projects, create memories, and celebrate your Sims over the past few months,” the developers shared.

The Sims Mobile will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on October 21st. New accounts will no longer be available, but those who previously downloaded the game will be able to continue playing until January.
