Fortnite will be returning to Google Play worldwide on March 19, according to the official Fortnite account on 𝕏. The announcement follows the recent news that the legal battle between Google and Epic Games has concluded.

As a reminder, Fortnite disappeared from the Android Play Store and iOS App Store back in August 2020, following Epic Games’ introduction of its own in-game payment system, which violated Google and Apple’s policies.

After a five-year legal battle, Epic Games reached a settlement with Google, initially returning Fortnite to the US Play Store and then promising a quick international release.

Fortnite has announced that it will return to the Play Store worldwide on March 19th with the launch of Showdown, the second season of Chapter 7 of the game’s content support program.

“Wherever you are, we’re here for you. Fortnite is back on Google Play. Available everywhere starting Thursday, March 19th,” reads the official announcement, accompanied by a short gameplay trailer.

The exact regions in which Fortnite will return to Google Play on March 19th have not been specified. Previously, since December of last year, the game was only available in the United States.
