Bethesda has released the space RPG Starfield on PlayStation 5. It was originally scheduled to launch in the fall of 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X.

Starfield also received the Terran Armada story expansion, priced at $10. It will introduce players to the invasion of the eponymous robot faction, led by a ruthless squad of fugitive soldiers. The expansion will offer new locations to explore, unique advanced technologies, and especially powerful weaponry.

Simultaneously, a free Free Lanes update was released on all target platforms, bringing seamless interplanetary travel (reduced loading times between planets) and introducing numerous minor changes. Notable changes include a fourth level of equipment upgrades, special enemy modifiers, new vehicles, and elite crew members.

Starfield on PS5 will run in two modes: “Quality” and “Performance” (60 fps). On PS5 Pro, both modes are optimized for the PSSR upscaler. “Performance” offers a higher graphics level than the base PS5.

On Steam, it has 143 reviews and a “mostly positive rating.” Some players thank Bethesda for including the add-on in the Premium Edition (free for those who own it) and praise the new content.
