As promised, the ambitious co-op pirate survival simulator Windrose, from Kraken Express (formerly Windrose Crew), launched in early access on PC on April 14.
The project is an open-world PvE survival game set in the age of piracy. Players will craft various items, travel across islands, and search for treasures. The developers promise a deep combat system, a full-fledged story campaign, and numerous secrets.
Previously, a six-hour demo of Windrose was released on Steam, which was warmly received by gamers: over 8,000 reviews, 92% of which are positive. The game’s developers also reported that the pirate survival game had been wishlisted by over 1 million users on Steam.
At the Early Access launch, the game offers three biomes, three ships, a progression system, naval combat with boarding, construction mechanics, factions, trading. A full release is expected in one and a half to two years.
