Game Science, the creators of Black Myth: Wukong, released a new trailer for its new game, Black Myth: Zhong Kui. It’s over 15 minutes long and includes numerous gameplay shots that “provide a first glimpse of the main character and the plot.”

The published video includes eight minutes of Black Myth: Zhong Kui gameplay in 21:9 format and excerpts from cinematic intros that first show the protagonist in combat and provide an overview of the plot.

In the demo, the protagonist fights numerous regular enemies and a powerful boss—a giant with enormous shells on his back. The video demonstrates what happens when these shells are broken.

The Taoist deity Zhong Kui, featured in the game’s subtitle, also made an appearance in the trailer. In the trailer, he is once again depicted as a large man with a blood-red beard riding a tiger.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui is described by its developers as a single-player action RPG, although Game Science clarified that the project is in early development. The game is planned for release on PC and other major platforms, although a release date has not yet been announced.
