Publisher Future Friends Games and developer Freshly Baked Games have announced the release date for “Queen’s Domain”, a retro-style, first-person fantasy action RPG inspired by *King’s Field*. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (Steam) on October 30. The console versions have been announced for the first time.
The events of “Queen’s Domain” unfold on Neasied—an island belonging to a sinister, slumbering queen—where the protagonist washes up following a shipwreck. He has arrived at this location in search of his missing father.
Players will explore intricately interconnected areas, soar over obstacles using the legendary Holy Sword Endu, uncover the secrets of Neasied, and battle their way through hordes of monsters and powerful bosses.
The developers are crafting dynamic combat featuring a classic stamina system, powerful attacks, special moves, and a vast arsenal of ranged (over 20 types) and melee weapons (over 50 varieties).
They promise dozens of hours of adventure and exploration, more than 100 enemies—including mini-bosses and bosses—and a retro-fantasy aesthetic.
