The premiere is fast approaching, and Netflix is increasingly drumming up excitement among *Cyberpunk 2077* action fans for the upcoming season of the anime based on their favorite cyberpunk world. The streaming service has released an official clip from the upcoming series *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2* that focuses entirely on one of the project’s most talked-about characters.
A new clip from *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2* released by Netflix runs for a minute and a half and shows Roman attempting to film Talia as she gets used to her new Maelstrom cyber-implants.
The teaser is titled “Something Real,” and its description hints at the young cinephile’s vision: “In a city obsessed with braindance, sometimes you have to seek out something real.”
Users in the comments were intrigued by the teaser and concerned about the fate of the characters shown. “Remember, choombas: there are no happy endings in Night City,”warned YamchaCanDoBettr.
They promise a completely new, standalone story about dreams, revenge, family, obsession, and the struggle to survive in a brutal world: “When the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes must you go to for your story to matter?”
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is a completely standalone 10-episode story set in the same universe as the game by CD Projekt RED. The series will not be a direct continuation of David Martinez’s or Lucy’s story, but will instead focus on a new group of mercenaries fighting for survival on the city streets.
The official premiere of the second season is set for October 20, 2026, on Netflix.
