Bandai Namco Entertainment updated the game’s Steam page, confirming concerns about the security system. A notification appeared about the use of Denuvo, along with a message about a daily activation limit.
Although Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has been available for pre-order for several months, mention of the controversial mechanics from Dutch company Irdeto (owner of Denuvo) only now appeared on the game’s Steam page.
As for the system requirements for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, they have recently been listed on Valve’s digital store.
The minimum configuration was previously known, but the recommended configuration is new.
To run Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve on PC, you’ll need a graphics card with hardware ray tracing support and a solid-state drive (SSD). Resolution and frame rate targets include upscalers.
The regular release is scheduled for October 2, 2026, with Premium Edition owners able to play three days early. The game will be available not only on PC but also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
