Following AMD’s official release of its new entry-level Radeon RX 9050 graphics card, the company’s partners began introducing their own versions of the accelerator. For example, PowerColor announced the budget-friendly Radeon RX 9050, the Reaper.
The card uses a stripped-down Navi 44 graphics chip with 16 of 32 active execution units, 1024 stream processors, 32 AI accelerators, and 16 ray tracing accelerators. It is equipped with GDDR6 memory at 18 Gbps per pin, supports a 128-bit bus, and delivers 288 GB/s of bandwidth.
The PowerColor Reaper version of the Radeon RX 9050 8GB features a cooling system with an aluminum heatsink and two 80mm fans. The card’s shroud and backplate are plastic. The card draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe connector. Power consumption is 100W. PowerColor uses reference GPU settings: the game clock is 1920 MHz, and the boost clock is 2600 MHz.
PowerColor hasn’t disclosed the price or shipping date for the new product, but the graphics card has already appeared on the brand’s official website.
