According to Larian, the February patch for Baldur's Gate 3 caused a number of performance issues that resulted in game crashes. The developers thanked users for their patience and released a fix. Update 4.1.1.7209685 has now been released on all target platforms for Baldur's Gate 3 and brings fixes for the aforementioned frame rate drops, a number of crashes, and critical bugs. Specifically, the patch fixed an issue that prevented Baldur's Gate 3 users on Mac computers from progressing beyond character creation in the hardcore Valor mode.
