CD Projekt Red has revealed the full patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5, officially titled the Edgerunners 2 Update. The new release introduces fresh story content, expanded character customization, cross-platform mod support and several technical improvements designed to enhance the experience in Night City.
New Quests and Edgerunners Content
One of the main additions is Clampdown, a new side quest set before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Players can also unlock a five-piece gear set inspired by the character King and tune in to HKGN 102.0 FM, a new radio station featuring music from the animated series.
Another quest, Welcome to Paradise, takes players on a guided tour of Night City narrated by Richard Night. The update also adds 12 Minor Arcana Tarot Cards to discover throughout the city.
Dual-Wielding, Customization and Mods
Update 2.5 introduces the Double Trouble perk, allowing players to wield two Power pistols or revolvers simultaneously. Character customization also expands with new hairstyles, clothing collections and visual options for cyberware, including Mantis Blades and Gorilla Arms.
Another major addition is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io. Players on supported platforms can browse and install selected community-created modifications directly through the game’s menu. However, achievements and trophies cannot be earned on consoles while playing with a modded save.
Performance Improvements and Release Date
The patch brings support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, improved HDR rendering, additional performance optimizations and enhancements for ray tracing and PlayStation 5 Pro. Console players also gain a field-of-view slider, while Mac users receive additional graphics technology support.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2026, for PC, Mac through Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions are expected to follow shortly afterward.
The Edgerunners 2 Update adds more than cosmetic extras: new quests, combat options and mod support give returning players fresh reasons to explore Night City.
