Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is officially available on Netflix, bringing a new story, fresh characters, and more of Night City’s brutal cyberpunk world to the screen. All 10 episodes of the standalone anime series are now streaming, giving fans a new reason to return to the universe of Cyberpunk 2077.
A New Story Set in Night City
Developed by CD PROJEKT RED in collaboration with Japanese animation studio TRIGGER, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 introduces an entirely new cast and a darker story centered on revenge, redemption, obsession, and survival.
The series follows several characters whose lives collide in Night City, including Weak, a former edgerunner struggling with life after losing his cybernetic enhancements, and D, a netrunner pursuing revenge against those responsible for destroying his clan.
Unlike a direct continuation of the original anime’s storyline, the new 10-episode season stands on its own while expanding the world established in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character design by Kanno Ichigo, the new series brings together familiar creative talent and a fresh visual approach. Writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor also returns to the franchise.

The anime’s launch also coincides with the announcement of a new Cyberpunk 2077 update inspired by Edgerunners 2, scheduled for October 22, 2026.
