Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Croteam have announced The Talos Principle 3. According to the developers, it will be the “final chapter of the puzzle series.”
The threequel will send players into a strange, contradictory world of ruined temples and abandoned research stations, the only place in the universe where the laws of physics don’t work as expected—the Anomaly.
By solving increasingly challenging puzzles, players will relive the life of an explorer, and along with it, the history of the world created by humanity. The announcement of The Talos Principle 3 was accompanied by a mysterious teaser.
Players will explore the development of human civilization through fragments of personal memories of a wide variety of locations—from a desert planet undergoing terraforming to the Gardens of Elysium.
They promise even more sophisticated and uncompromising puzzles, a combination of familiar and completely new mechanics, perfection in gameplay, the deepest secrets of the Anomaly, and answers to all questions.
The Talos Principle is being developed for PS5 and PC, but a release date has not yet been announced.
