The Sealime development team unveiled the official debut trailer for their project, Heatwarped, and simultaneously made a free demo available on Steam. The project is positioned as a tribute to iconic arcade racing games of the 2000s, recreating the visual style and aesthetics of the golden age of illegal late-night racing.
Heatwarped is an open-world arcade racing game set in the 2000s. Judging by the debut gameplay trailer, the game is directly inspired by Need for Speed Underground 2.
Players will be able to explore the sprawling city of Ratfield and its surroundings, participate in adrenaline-fueled races, compete against other players, and upgrade their car with rare parts. Judging by the YouTube comments, fans are truly yearning for games like Need for
Speed Underground 2. “Finally, NFS Underground 3,” BiggusWeeabus and 1,100 other supporters cried.

Sealime hasn’t yet announced a full release date for Heatwarped, but you can already get a taste of the gameplay with a free demo on Steam.
