Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which has been available on PC since yesterday, looked surprisingly productive with the announcement of system requirements – but the port developed by Nixxes has received mixed reviews on Steam since launch, mainly due to technical issues.
Less than 24 hours after its release, the rating of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in the digital store Steam is only 55%. Users of the service left more than 1.3 thousand “mixed” reviews.
The main reason for dissatisfaction turned out to be technical problems: regular crashes, frame rate drops even on powerful PCs, freezes, bugs of varying severity and failures in DLSS scaling.
Users are urging people to hold off on purchasing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the third game in the series from Insomniac Games, which was released exclusively on PS5 in October 2023 and received quite good reviews. The PC version of the game received additional graphics settings, an unlocked frame rate, as well as support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel XeSS, and increased ray tracing quality.
