Shortly after the release of *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* remaster, players on PC and consoles began reporting various technical issues. They also noted a range of graphical glitches: some saw Geralt’s model turn black, while others observed that character faces and objects looked distinctly off.
Players discovered through experimentation that the issue stems from the “Bloom” setting; disabling it improves the visual quality of *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* remaster.
Patch 5.00c for the PC version of *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered*, released recently, promised to tweak the bloom effect settings in Velen but failed to actually fix the issue.
Fortunately, CD Projekt Red won’t overlook the issue of image overexposure in *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered*.
Marcin Momot, the studio’s communications director, confirmed this on his social media.

“We plan to fix the glow effect issue across all platforms. We hope to have the changes ready for the next update, though we don’t have details yet,” Momot reassured fans.
In addition to updated graphics, the remaster offers an improved combat system and skill tree, an expanded photo mode, official mod support, and two expansions (Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine) included.
Patches containing the first set of fixes for *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* remaster have already been released for PC and consoles over the past few days. CD Projekt RED is reviewing feedback and continuing to prepare further updates.
