Valve Corrects Team Fortress 2 Scout’s Pants Color 17 Years Later
Generally, bugs in games are fixed as quickly as possible, but sometimes the mistakes made elude developers for years. That's what's been happening with Valve and its team shooter Team Fortress 2 for the past 17 years.
The developers changed the color of the Scout's pants when he plays for the blue team. Due to a graphical bug that happened 17 years ago, his pants were beige, as if he still plays for the red team. In a recent patch, his pants became dark blue, as they should be.
However, after 17 hours, Valve rolled back the fix. The studio explained this by technical problems, saying that the blue pants conflict with the character skins.
