Developer Weta Worskhop has announced that Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Games will be released in early 2025, rather than this year as originally planned. The developers posted a message to fans on the game’s Twitter account (X):
As it became known, the premiere of Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game is now expected only in early 2025.
This charming game will allow gamers to immerse themselves in the many delights of life in the Shire: gardening, cooking, burrowing, local festivals, scenic walks, and much more.
The game is still planned for release on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch.
In the announcement message (see image below), the developers assured that they are trying to meet the expectations of players, and for this the project needs additional time. The developers also urged those interested in the release date of Tales of the Shire not to miss the presentation A Hobbit Day Showcase, which will take place on Hobbit Day – September 22.
