To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Doom series and the upcoming release of the new game Doom: The Dark Ages, Asus has partnered with game developer Bethesda to release a unique Doom Edition of the GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card.
The video card is based on the ROG Astral OC model from Asus and differs from the standard version in its design: the case is made in green with gold accents, which echo the colors of the armor of the game’s main character, Doomguy. On the back panel of the card is an image of the character of the series.
The GeForce RTX 5080 Doom Edition will be available exclusively as part of a special gaming bundle. The bundle will include a mouse pad, a replica of the yellow keycard from the game, a Doom t-shirt, the Doom: The Dark Ages game itself, and an in-game skin for Doomguy.
Asus also said that the GeForce RTX 5080 Doom Edition has the same specs as the ROG Astral OC model. The card’s GPU has a stated boost frequency of 2790 MHz. The accelerator is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory with a speed of 30 Gbps per contact.
