Nintendo has announced the global launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 console. In addition, 28 games have become available for purchase, 12 more Nintendo Switch titles have received free updates, and the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service has been expanded with three games for the Nintendo GameCube emulator.
In the US, a number of Switch 2 gaming consoles will be offered in major electronics stores without prior ordering, and many people wishing to purchase the new product began to line up long before the start of sales. Some had to take time off from work to do so, but such difficulties do not frighten true fans of the platform.
In the US, even before the sales began, Nintendo fans were also hosting events where they could try out the Switch 2. Even then, there were lines of 80 or more people, and some even came from neighboring Mexico.
Meanwhile, analysts suggest that the Nintendo Switch 2 could sell more portable PCs in 2025 than ever before.
