Developer The Chinese Room has announced the release of a new story expansion for the vampire action game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Titled “Loose Cannon,” the DLC will be released on April 27, 2026, and will offer players a completely different perspective on the game’s events.

As a reminder, the Loose Cannon add-on (along with The Flower & the Flame) was announced ahead of the release of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, replacing the fan-favorite Shadows & Silk. The release was expected in the second quarter of 2026.

Loose Cannon will be released next week, on April 27, for all Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 platforms. The announcement was accompanied by a rich gameplay trailer.

Loose Cannon is positioned as a standalone expansion following the adventures of Brujah Clan Sheriff Benny Muldoon. Ruthless, hot-tempered, and convinced that the only right is might, he dispenses justice with guns and fists.

It promises four quests, the chance to learn about Benny’s life before arriving in Seattle and how he became who he is, primarily gun-based combat gameplay, reimagined familiar locations, and new cosmetic items.

Along with the DLC announcement, the team unveiled an updated game development plan for 2026. In addition to the release of “Loose Cannon” on April 27, players can expect major spring updates with bug fixes and base game improvements.
