The ambitious space sandbox game No Man’s Sky, from the British developer Hello Games, is celebrating 10 years since its original release. Studio head Sean Murray addressed players to mark the anniversary.
“I’m incredibly happy to be working with my team on a game I love for one of the most supportive communities in video games. If you’re reading this, it means you’ve shown us your kindness… Big or small, it helps Hello Games do what it does. And for that, I’m truly grateful.”
Disappointed by the release of the highly anticipated new game (the developers hadn’t skimped on promises), gamers subsequently witnessed a true redemption story. The developers weren’t sitting idle, however, and were constantly releasing major updates—a total of 40.
It’s these ongoing improvements that No Man’s Sky focuses on in its latest trailer. At the end of the video, the developers tease the next expedition, called”COSMOS.” They promise to reveal more details about the update soon.
In addition to the continued development of No Man’s Sky, Hello Games is also busy creating the co-op game Light No Fire. They promise a spirit of adventure, a “truly open” world, and a release on PC (Steam).
