
DOOM: The Dark Ages Will Have the Largest Locations in the Series’ History
The developers of the ambitious shooter Doom: The Dark Ages from id Software shared new details about the game in the recently released April issue of Edge magazine.
The new DOOM is said to feature the largest locations in the series' long history. Some of them will be so huge that players may confuse The Dark Ages with classic open-world games. But overall, the linear structure will remain. And on average, players will spend about an hour on each level.
The story will be told not through notes, but through classic staged cutscenes. In DOOM: The Dark Ages, the authors will abandon science fiction in favor of a more down-to-earth atmosphere.
