Bethesda Softworks and id Software have presented the second trailer for their brutal action shooter DOOM: The Dark Ages. The video includes not only fresh gameplay footage, but also excerpts from story cutscenes. Let us recall that the music for the game was written by composers of Borderlands 3 and The Callisto Protocol. As a reminder, the events of Doom: The Dark Ages take place before Doom (2016). According to the plot of the new game, the Doom Slayer has become a prisoner of the Night Sentinels and is used by them when the situation with demons gets out of control. The developers of the ambitious shooter Doom: The Dark Ages from id Software shared new details about the game in the recently released April issue of Edge magazine. The new DOOM is said to feature the largest locations in the series' long history. Some of them will be so huge that players may confuse The Dark Ages with classic open-world games. But overall, the linear structure will remain. And on average, players will spend about an hour on each level. The story will be told not through notes, but through classic staged cutscenes.
