‘The Legend of Zelda’, the upcoming film adaptation of the popular game series The Legend of Zelda, has received a new world premiere date.
As a reminder, the film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda was originally scheduled for release on March 26, 2027. However, two months after the announcement, the premiere was delayed by six weeks—until recently, the release was expected on May 7, 2027.
According to Miyamoto, the worldwide release of The Legend of Zelda film is now planned to be a week earlier than expected—April 30, 2027. The reasons for the new delay are not specified.
British actors Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Princess Zelda and her warrior Link in the film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.

Wes Ball, director of Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom and the Maze Runner trilogy, will direct the adaptation. Filming took place in New Zealand and concluded in April.
Let’s also remember that The Legend of Zelda turns 40 this year! And the next game in the series may be partially inspired by the spin-off Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.
