KING Art Games has released the third installment of its “Battlefield Report” series, focusing on the multiplayer mode of ‘Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV’. This time, the spotlight is on an intense 1v1 duel in “Annihilation” mode, pitting Orks against Necrons.

In a 15-minute video, ‘Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4’ Creative Director Jan Theysen and QA Lead Orvie Thumel staged a battle between Ork and Necron armies in Annihilation mode.

The developers showcased new Necron units, late-game mechanics, match customization options, and improvements to battlefield readability—including the Necron Power Matrix—based on player feedback.

The events of ‘Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4’ will unfold on the planet Kronus, which has become the arena for an uncompromising conflict between four factions: the Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and Adeptus Mechanicus.

Users in the comments were impressed by the improvements compared to previous “Battlefield Briefings” and praised the developers for taking community feedback into account.

On September 16, KING Art will showcase 2v2 gameplay in the new “Team Domination” mode, and on September 23, the 2v2 “Team Skirmish” mode will premiere, featuring Jan and Elliott facing off against a formidable AI-controlled opponent.
