Silent Hill, Siren and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama, who released the action-adventure horror game Slitterhead with his Bokeh Game Studio in 2024, has confirmed work on a new game.

In 2024, Toyama, known for his work on Silent Hill and Siren, presented the new studio’s first game. Slitterhead combined action and horror elements, an experiment that gave young developers the opportunity to show their creativity. And although the game was not a hit, it gained its loyal audience and even opened an exhibition in Japan, where concept art and artifacts can be seen until the end of July.

According to Toyama, not everyone understood the true essence of Slitterhead, but the project was significant:

We wanted to create something that large studios cannot do. In this sense, I am happy with the result.”

According to Toyama, the new project by Bokeh Game Studio is not a sequel to Slitterhead. The developer emphasized that he did not conceive the original game as a platform for a sequel. Slitterhead was released in November 2024 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The game received mixed reviews from journalists (62-68% on Metacritic), but “very positive” (80%) reviews on Steam.
