Developers from the Georgian studio Half Sword Games, with the support of Game Seer Publishing, have announced the early access release date for their merciless medieval battle simulator, Half Sword.

In Half Sword, players enter the arena to battle a variety of opponents. Here, they must master challenging combat mechanics: hacking, slashing, crushing, slicing, swinging, and impaling enemies. Despite the brutality, the physics of movement make combat a hilarious spectacle—and the game launches in Early Access on January 30th.

The Half Sword demo became a real hit on social media. Users actively shared funny videos from the game. The simulator combines extreme realism with outright satire. In one battle, you might find yourself practically naked, swinging your fists, and in the next, you’ll emerge as a knight in shining armor, crushing a crowd of peasants.

To announce the Early Access release, the team released a new, spectacular trailer. Immediately after this, the developers posted a warning of sorts: they are actively fixing bugs, optimizing performance, and eliminating intermittent crashes—as quickly as the small team size allows.

Thanks to its success at the demo festival, Half Sword broke into the top 10 most desired games among Steam users.
