The first story DLC for Reanimal is now available. The Prisoner begins a new story about two characters trying to survive amidst destruction and war. THQ Nordic also released a launch trailer.
The expansion will introduce players to two new characters—the Soldier and the Prisoner. They must survive on war-torn streets and journey “toward something that will change their destinies forever.” The Prisoner will offer the opportunity to revisit familiar locations from the main story, as well as explore entirely new zones. A unique atmosphere of horror and encounters with a terrifying new threat are promised.
Early adopters have responded favorably to the new game, as evidenced by its high approval rating (88% positive out of 127 reviews). The DLC is praised for its new mechanics, interesting bosses, and moderately challenging puzzles. “Surrealism at its finest,” noted user AlexKrause. Among the drawbacks, the short length and minor technical issues are mentioned.
Reanimal is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Developed by Tarsier Studios, the creators of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2, the game follows a boy and a girl trying to save their friends in a nightmare world.
