Mortal Shell 2, an action RPG from Cold Symmetry, is now available to owners of the enhanced Devout Edition on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. On Steam, the new game has attracted 19,242 players and collected initial reviews.
Mortal Shell 2 tells the story of the Harbinger, who possesses the bodies of exceptional warriors. As you explore the ruined world, you’ll encounter eight fallen soldiers’ shells—each with its own unique abilities and story.

Critics gave their verdict on Mortal Shell 2 a few days ago: journalists praised the game’s secret-filled world, diverse combat system, and high-quality graphics. The story and recurring enemies (especially toward the end of the game) were the main points of complaint.
Steam users also loved Cold Symmetry’s action RPG, as evidenced by its high approval rating (81% positive out of 3,804 reviews). Players and critics alike praise the new game for its graphics, excellent technical condition, and responsive controls. “Dark. Beautiful. Optimized,” concluded Joxer, the author of a positive review.
Mortal Shell 2 will be fully released on August 20th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Critics are unanimously positive about the new game, but they haven’t given it a warmer reception than the first game.
