New gameplay footage and screenshots of Half-Life 2 RTX, a reimagining of Valve’s legendary shooter by modders from the Orbifold Studios team based on the RTX Remix platform, have been leaked into the public domain.
Half-Life 2 RTX is a mod that enhances the iconic shooter with NVIDIA’s RTX Remix tools, turning it into a visually stunning game with path tracing and the all-new RTX neural shaders. With the support of NVIDIA engineers, the latest build showcases cutting-edge real-time rendering techniques that improve image quality and performance.
The leak contains a number of screenshots and behind-the-scenes footage: models of objects, characters (including Gordon Freeman), and monsters, including some rather grotesque ones.
While there is no official information about FSR 3.0 support, users of older RTX cards will be able to use the DLSS 3 to FSR 3.0 mod or the Lossless Scaling program.
The release date for the remaster has not yet been announced.
