A new trailer for the remake of Silent Hill 2 from Bloober Team and Konami has been released, presenting the terrifying story of James Sunderland, who is invited to Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his dead wife. The main character will have to face a serious challenge. The trailer features the enchanting composition “Promise” by composer Akira Yamaoka, known to all fans of the original game.
The remake is not an exact copy of the original Silent Hill 2 with new graphics. Bloober Team expanded some sections, introduced additional puzzles and endings, and refreshed the combat system (the ability to dodge appeared).
Overall, the demo version gave journalists confidence that the remake of Silent Hill 2 will be worthy of the original source, although the new release does not pretend to rethink the level of Resident Evil 2 – in this regard, it is closer to Shadow of the Colossus.
Silent Hill 2 Remake launches October 8 for PS5 and PC. Deluxe Edition owners will be able to play the game on October 6, along with other bonuses.
